Hugues Merle - Romeo and Juliet [1879]

Hugues Merle (Saint Martin, 1823 – Paris, 1881) was a 19th Century French painter. He mostly depicted sentimental or moral subjects. He has often been compared with William-Adolphe Bourguereau.
